Day 6 - SSS

Ok, so today was supposed to be my rest day as have the trail run race tomorrow.  Got up and turned the oven on to cook our baked eggs, then sat at the computer to wait for it to heat up and read some 12WBT forum posts.  They got me all motivated, so I went and got changed and did the outside version of SSS (Ignite & Burn 500), only I did it in my lounge.  We were supposed to used stairs for my warm up, but that wasn't really oging to work for me so I did star jumps, shuffle etc in the lounge and Greg laughed at me and told me I looked so stupid!  I can imagine I did, but I just laughed with him and said I know and I don't care!

The Ignite & Burn 500 is basically 50 reps of a whole heap of exercises - Burpees, Hip Raises, Side Plank Raise, Mountain Climbers, Sumo Squats, Tricep Dips, Push Ups and Double Crunch, followed by 50s wall sit, then power walking until you get to at least an hour workout.  It was hard, but super good.  The hardest for me was the tricep dips and push ups.  Obviously my arms need to get stronger!

Greg did some of the exercises with me, and came for the walk.  Such a good start to the day!  Feeling pretty pleased with myself now.  Hope I'm not too sore for my trail run tomorrow though!
